Well, not me! My son had to have emergency wisdom tooth surgery which cancelled my husband and my few days in a cabin in Hocking Hills. And I think maybe I picked up a stomach bug because I’ve been staying close to the bathroom today. TMI? Yea, I’ve got more, but I’ll spare you.
I finally submitted my story Wheels on the Bus, so fingers crossed it gets accepted. I have another flash piece to find a home for and then I need to write my outline for the romance. I haven’t submitted anything recently and one of the things you have to have is a short bio. So, I am sitting here stuck at that. I have done exercises before to create these bios, but when faced anew, I freeze. I look over what I’ve written and I wonder what was I thinking when I wrote it. Being satisfied is so hard.
The one from everydayfiction.com is pretty bare:
Christina Morris lives in Cleveland with her husband and three children. She works as a web developer and writes stories when not distracted.
The one from the Dragon’s Hoard is equally short:
CHM Singerie is a wife, mother and web developer who has been hoarding treasure for a very long time.
I like the one here the best but how to shorten it? To 30-50 words?
This is how AI wants to shorten it:
Christina Morris, who writes under the pen name chm singerie, has always used storytelling as a means of self-expression and pushing the boundaries of imagination. She believes in the transformative power of stories.
Ick! so dry!
And then this one:
Since childhood, Christina has spun tales, often getting into trouble but remaining passionate. Writing is her way to express herself and explore imagination, whether it’s personal or fantastical, like dragons reading tarot. She believes storytelling can transform lives and hopes her work resonates with you. CHM Singerie is her pen name.
A little better but I think I must actually write it myself. Isn’t that always how it goes? For me anyway!
Peace!
