Week 18 Weekly Tarot

I chose the owl this week, what do you choose?

I was watching the View yesterday and Kelsey Grammar was on. He recently wrote a book about his sister, who was tragically murdered.

The reason he wanted to tell this story was because a psychic or channeler who spoke in the voice of his sister told him she wanted her story told. I find that so interesting, how he accepted this information and acted on it. As a part time skeptic, I still read tarot most every day, but use it as a meditation, thanks to Elliot Adam’s card interpretations, more than a fortune teller or a way to predict anything. As far as communing with spirits? Wow, what a thought. And it’s remarkable that there are those who reach such great heights that do things I am so unsure about. I guess it’s no different than having a religion except for societal norms.

And none of this is new, right?

Astrologer Joan Quigley helped the Reagan’s during their time in the White House with scheduling and messaging. And she felt that she had a line to the president, which she most certainly did. More or less than a priest or a pastor?

I guess I just want to notice that these new age things, the way we rely on the spiritual and which kind of spirits to help us, are becoming more and more acceptable. There are so many witch groups on Facebook, and applications and websites of people who make their living doing these things. During a conversation with my son about a job at one of the websites, chani.com, that pays very well and had great benefits, my son thought was terrible and takes advantage of people. But I disagree. I think it helps to build confidence and motivation in people who need it. Just like any religion. Everyone has to eat, even those that have the precarious job of keeping peoples mindset healthy.

With that, Peace, and I hope you find ways to keep your mind healthy this week!
